Ervin Yoder
Life member of the VFW, Served Served in the US ARMY 1969-1973 in Germany with HQ & HQ Company 3rd infantry division 1970-1971, in Vietnam with 88th S&S Battalion Headquarters Company as Motor Sergeant 1971-1972. Served with the 380th Transportation Company Motor Pool, as a Mechanic, (63C20) at Ft Meade Maryland till May 1973. Joined the Veterans of Foreign Wars 1985 at Wauseon VFW Post 7424 and in 1991 was elected Post Commander. Served as Post Quartermaster from 2009-2016, Served Defiance Co Council thru the chairs and was elected as Commander in 1994, and served Co Council as adjutant for 4 years. Served as District One Commander 1996-97 and as District adjutant for 5 years and Dist Quartermaster 3 years. Served as Department Hospitality Chairman for PDC Roger Taylor and PDC Merton (Sam) Compton. Also served on numerous District, Department and National committees and chairmanship’s. Currently serving on Finance Committee.
Life Member of American Legion Post 265, Wauseon, served as post commander 4 yrs and finance officer 6 yrs, Life member of the Catholic War Veterans, Named as the CWV Lawrence McGervey award winner for the State in 2014. Life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Served on the Fulton County Veterans Service Commission for 13 years. Life Member of the AMVETS, Member of The Fulton County Honor Guard for 12 years, Commander 10 yrs, and the Fulton County United Veterans 26 years, Treasurer for 16 years.
Retired Self employed Plumbing & HVAC Contractor for 38 years. I have 5 children, 10 grand children and 4 Great Grand Children
